Izzie Williams
Netball has been a huge part of my life, both as a player and a coach, and it’s where my passion for sport leadership truly comes to life. Over the past four years, I’ve coached across a range of environments including Pinehurst, MBIS, NETFIT, Swish Netball, working with players from grassroots through to intermediate and high school levels. I’m currently working towards my Community Coach Award Level 1 and am studying a Bachelor of Sport, Exercise and Health at AUT University, majoring in Sport Leadership and Management, with a minor in Sport and Exercise Science.
My coaching philosophy centres on creating a positive, supportive environment where players feel confident to challenge themselves, make mistakes, and grow. I place a strong emphasis on skill development, game understanding, and work ethic, while also prioritising communication, teamwork, and resilience. I believe that netball is about more than just performance, it’s about developing confident, respectful young people who enjoy turning up to training and competing with pride.
I’m passionate about helping players build strong foundations through purposeful training, clear feedback, and sessions that are engaging, structured, and fun. Whether I’m coaching a team or working one-on-one, my goal is always the same: to support players to reach their potential while fostering a lifelong love for netball.
